My Walks of Life

the sky does not always blue..so does the life..

How Smart Is Your Right Foot?

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep
trying it at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot.
But you can't!!!
1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and
make clockwise circles with it.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your
right hand. Your foot will change direction!!!

I told you so... And there is nothing you can do about it.

AS TIME GOES..

It has been a while since the last time I posted in the blog.I shall blame to myself who is diligently schedule the vision screening project at every morning without fail, and spend the afternoon for the optical intervention, held at the Ophthalmology Clinic, HSM.I`m only at 1/4 of the project schedule yet I`m starting losing my mind! There is so much last minute changes and re consideration.Ya ALLAH, please enrich my spirit till the end of the project. The tense craving up as my supervisor starts.....ops !!I don`t think I should jot down about it here.FULL STOP.

Okay, what had happened all these days? Well, well...
1) Aufa tripped outside the bathroom and her chin hit the table edge!!I couldn`t manage to grab her and she just fell:( She bleed quite bad, as her lips, upper gums and chin wounded.I gave a hard compression with a towel, ask Abir to call Wan my mom for help."Wan, nak minyak gamat, Aufa jatuh!!" He yelled. Oh, my son has grown up..

2) We went back to kampung kuala nau as routinely. Not much activities. Relax, relax and relax! That `s why I love balik kampung to my hubby`s home.

3) Abir had 3 times of nocturnal eneuresis (bedwetting) after about 2 months of diaperless. My hubby and I got no idea what had knocked him in the dream, or perhaps he had lots lots of icecream in his dream.Suppose, he is simply tired! As his kindergarten has started with the sport training.Could be the weather too.. or.. or..there are 1000 reasons.Hmm..

4) Yesterday, we held a small pot-luck iftar at our place. I cooked nasi ayam.kak nita bring the kuih-muih, kak azah bring cucur udang, and kak ita bring the melon:)

5) My maid got scabies!! Aka kudis buta.Sounds scary isn`t? She got it at her hands. It is already about 6 days. So, she is ordered to relax- means NO TOUCH with the kids, NO COOKING, NO WASHING. It means that NO WORK. JUST LOOK, OBSERVE THE KIDS.As of today, her condition is better. No more puss and irritated inflammation seen. I think she will be ready to resume work next Monday. She tell me that she feels like `bingung` as she couln`t do anything.Well, enjoy your days. But, now we have to do all the work ourselves.

NON BAKED CHEESE CAKE

Last Thursday, I tried recepi from Resepi Mesra on non baked cheesecake. When I read the ingredients and method, it looks like quite complicated.Anyway, I just gave a try.It is a raspberry cheesecake with blueberry filling. I also able to do the icing decoration & writing on the cake this time. So, the output is really satisfactory. My clinic mate said it was just like the real one at the bakery!

And, the other day on Friday I baked my first lasagna. I thought it was difficult too, but it is similar with cooking a spagetti paste.Just buy the lasagna noodle and you are one step behind to have a lasagna for dinner.

GROLIER BOOKS FOR KIDS

Yesterday, while rushing off from the GIANT supermarket, we were stopped by a GROLIER agent.I was actually wanted to ask, how could we purchase the encylopedia set only, as 2 years ago when I bought Grolier series book for the children I missed to include the set. But the wise agent, cunningly spotted our interest on books and at last he got us to purchase Grolier books for the second time.It cost RM2K as usual:)But there is always easy installment RM83 monthly ,okay.Anyway, you are always welcome to pay the balance in lump sum anytime, as we did with the 1st purchase when we got our bonus.

2 years ago we bought :
1) I wonder why series -24 volume with 24 CDs
2) Grolier Young Knowledge- 12 volume
3) Science Library - 12 volume
4) 99 ways to raise you child self-esteem
5) Super sing along

Yesterday we add these set to our collection:
1) Grolier Encylopedia-24 volume
2) Grolier Words Words Words-4 volume
3) Grolier Piccolo Logico-12 volume

Abang and I never thought buying books is a burden for us, even though we had to have a long 24 months installments and the books might get torn before the installment end.(That what had happened to our I wonder why series...)Anyway, It is a worth investment, especially for our kids.I had friend who said "Mahalnye buku sampai RM2000, bukannya budak-budak baca sangat.koyak aje jawabnya nanti" But, she could spent thousand on other short term satisfaction just for herself.I really puzzle.Perhaps, one day she will realize that nothing is comparable than buying books rather than a set of cosmetic item...

This is a late post about the event. The celebration begins with gala dinner which I didn`t join, because the fee is RM120 !It was held at Seri Pacific Hotel, KL.I only manage to attend the seminar on 25th February. Aside from enjoying the knowledgeable speech from astounding speakers from all around the world, I had chances to meet my long lost frined at the seminar. To my surprise Sajidah who married later 2 years than me, is expecting her 3rd child!!Lucky her.We spent a night at my Brother & Sister IL ,Fara`s house in Kepong.

My husband and I took the chances to go to IKEA. We love to laze around IKEA once in a while, just to view our dream kitchen cabinet & utensil. We actually had design our kitchen cabinet according to IKEA`s idea and got a quotation for it,unfortunately at the very last minute, we had to postponed the construction since I have to further my study and means that we are not staying at our house for 2 years. We thought it will be so generous to furnish our house with the kitchen cabinet, yet had to rent it after all.Abang decided then that once I finish my study, we will resume the plan.

SPEECH THERAPY

As we are planning to bring Abir to a Speech therapy, we`ve been considering the Hospital Teluk Intan, Speech Therapist who is a friend of mine. It`s near to our place. For your information, not all government and private hospital provide speech therapy service. If you are staying around KL, Hospital Selayang & Hospital KL are the choices for those opt for government hospital.(minimal fees). There is also a university clinic run by UKM speech therapist located at Jalan Temerloh.Besides that, if you prefer a private clinic, you could get help from Speechelp.I suppose those private Hospital such as SJMC and Gleanagle Hospital have the service also.Well, the choice is yours...:)
