Time-off :on week 30

yesterday, i was in the middle of hooking myself with the tesis layout and bibliography since few days, only to realize it was already past 2.30pm, in which only i realize the stomach growling.so quickly got zuhr done and had a plate of kueteow ladna and ice lemon tea-sharp at 3pm. rush back to the carel room, i got this weekly pregnancy reminder email.Masha Allah! i am already hit week 30 on tuesday maa.this is what it says :

Welcome to Week 30!

At this point you may find it hard to believe you still have 10 more weeks to go. Wonder not! There is still room to grow in terms of your size - the fetus, placenta, uterus and amniotic fluid are going to increase in size and volume. (haa..what?i feel there`s no space left in here..i only gain 8kg so far..the least i had compared previous pregnancies.OBGyn said..eat more, eat more, but i couldn`t eat lot at one sit-blame my fat-tissue in there?.and couldn`t eat many many times too-blame the tesis?)

What is going on with your baby during week 30?

Your baby's eyelids are now open; its eyelashes and eyebrows are visible as well. It weighs about 3 lb or 1.4kg; crown to rump length is 27cm (10¾ inch) and total length is about 17 inches (38cm) long, two-thirds its final size. The fetus's level of infection fighting antibodies now is equivalent to yours. Outside the womb with great deal of effort and intensive care, baby will be able to survive but not without complications. The good news is that about 85% of babies born around now survive and its chances increases rapidly so that at 35 weeks it is more than likely to do fine outside the womb.(i wish to deliver around 36-37 weeks..tak larat nak tunggu le dah)

What is going on with You?

You are starting producing colostrum - the sweet, yellowish, nutrient and antibody rich fluid which is your baby's first food. It plays a vital role in providing your baby nourishment while your body prepares to switch into breast milk production mode. Colostrum production stops after 3-5 days after your baby is born and is replaced with breast milk. (Subhanallah!target to accomplish breastfeed formula-free for 2 years ...same like Aufa.ehem, eyeing for new pump :medela swing?) If you are beginning to feel tired or listless, it might be worth cutting back your work hours or stopping work altogether sooner rather than later. Discuss these options with your partner, doctor and your employer. (i`ve done the tesis writing last week, now merely in touch-up phase, text-proofing & kiv for corrections in 1 week time.no more clinic session and locum.told my research supervisor that i would start being off-campus by nov 2nd.)

What is going on with your Head?

It is not unusual to have a sudden burst of energy during the final trimester; many women start to clean up or do up baby's room.(true..true..last night i decorated Abir`s room, done few nailing on the wall..hanging his art-crafts & few photos. don`t have extra room for baby la..co-sleep is syiook and best options for breasfeeding, right?) . This is referred to as the 'nesting' instinct and the plus side is you feel better about your surroundings and have more time to spend with your baby once it arrives. On the downside, you end up tiring yourself.(hmm..yup!i have bad back-ache now!) You are going to need all the energy once your labor starts so if cleaning or decorating is necessary, enlist help of others. (sure...Ju is a great helper, thinking to ask her help with the curtain thing).

ok, raya story again! last week i met Azima whom i eventually yet seen since 7 years ago. Haha, this germanish lady..still speaks Perak so well! i assumed she would slipped her tongue with german and perak, instead..she still good:) we had lunch and visited Eda in Damansara Damai, whom was on 20 days MC. lots of old-stories revealed then, laughs.. laughs.Eda had to note us many times.."jgn buat kelakar..nak terburai bekas operate dia " :) Get well soon Eda. and, for the weekend, we went back to Sitiawan..on one mission actually. anyway, end up with JIM open house and also few relatives house.

had to share this too..the prenatal heart listener.it was quite weird at first..difficult to distinguish between the background noise with the fetus+womb noise.at last...after many many attempts..it is only crystal clear. the fetal heart beat sounded like a galloping horse, the fetus movements sound like a tap on the keyboard:) by the way, rimas pulak when the two kids pantang nampak the thing-asyik nak buat experiment kat ummi dia.haha.

Jom Gi Open House

Salam,
Feeling meeting new friends..? You are all invited to the above occasion.
Rapatkan ukhuwwah, gerakkan islah!
yesterday

my ex-usrah sisters which i lead in sitiawan; named syuhada and salmah, came to our house at the evening. i baked blueberry cheesecake on her request.
today
aside from the above JIM`s occasion, we went to Farra & Man`s house in Taman Ehsan. Layan makan cake sampai tak pandang pun yg lain.:) anyway, feeling the sense of incomplete "without rice" in a day, as Abang always said..i made dinner ready very early - done eating by 6.30pm.
Esok..kena sambung posa sunat 6 !Jom...

Post-Eid Report

Alhamdulillah..

Celebrating first eid at own`s hometown had never been so plain. can feel the aura of eid in the air few days prior. on the other hand, it is far difference when celebrating it at parent in law`s. not to make sensitive remarks, but it is just not as happening as having it in own family. (ps : Abang, no offence, ok?) for comparison, let me put it this way. our tradition of celebrating eid starts with solat maghrib berjemaah at home or at the mosque after iftar. it surely leads by Angah, after solat it is followed by eid takbir. that is the pre-syahdu of eid!!feeling missing of the Ramadhan, of which mama always said then "entahlah kita dpt tak jumpa Ramadhan satu lagi.moga dipanjangkan umur..diberi kesihatan.." it did really thunder the heart:(

at some times, the mosque jamaah will come to our house for takbir and doa. only after isya`, mama started asking us to do this and that..in which Farah will usually cater the biscuits arranging, glasses, table, curtains etc., whilst i would usually at the kitchen helping with rendang, ketupat, baking cake etc. having maid is a blessing as well, aside from taking care of the kids..she would station at the baju raya ironing and cleaning. the guys? they would definitely treat the kids with bunga api and firecrackers show!

morning of eid, started early with mama knocking our door, reminded on don`t forget to niat mandi Sunat Eid, later the guys went to mosque for Subuh and we prepare the breakfast. we used to combo eid-delicacies ie ketupat, lemang, peanut sauce and rendang with another dishes such as nasi lemak special or fried mee. once the guys, were already home..we have our breakfast together at the big table.the radio will always set to takbir by then all the while.soon, the house would be so hectic once the kids woke-up and starts running, yelling, giggling.later, we put on our baju raya and all of us were already set to the mosque again for eid-prayer around 8.30am and only got home around 10am.

the peak of the eid was when everyone got together at the living-hall, ready for salam bermaafan and duit raya session:) hee, not to forget-it is more like photography session for the family too!!sometimes, mama cries..:( next agenda would be the graveyard in Kampung Baru where arwah atok, wan & mak itam`s were. we settled there with yasin, doa and clearing the area. but this year, as proposed by Chik & Chu..we visit the grave a day before eid. then only, we went to wan`s house where all the aunts, uncles and cousins were together.again..the salam, duit raya & photography took place there. finally.., although exhausted enough..especially the kids, we would definitely convoi to Kampung Teluk till late evening.

the routine of celebrating eid in Sitiawan...where i say its 70% different from having it in Kuala Nau.anyway, no fuss..whether Sitiawan or K Nau, as long as we are in a family. this year we headed to K Nau on 2nd eid, after had a BBQ lunch (various fresh fish & goat`s curry) at my parents house.the next day, we convoi to tok bah`s house and later visit our friends in Kulim.not much events though..

couldn`t say more..than syukur alhamdulillah. enjoy the pictures collections..

1/4 of the total grandchildren..:)
the blue team..:)
salam & collecting duit raya..
cheese everyone?
merpati 2 sejoli..., we flashed oranged on 2nd eid (coincidence with ancho`s team)
after BBQ lunch on 2nd eid..

there you are!
