Koi

Dari last week lagi kids dah tak sabar-sabar nak pegi tengok ikan koi kat Sentul. So, alhamdulillah hari ni lepas sarapan bihun goreng, kami pun bawa sebuku roti ke Sentul West Park. Tempat ni amat senang je nak dicari, sebabnya family Ancho dah pegi last week..jadi instructions GPS yg Kak Cho bagi amat jelas.

The park filled with indigenous forest species. It draws its inspiration from the landscape style of 18th century English gardens which broke away from the formality of the French tradition to a simple appreciation of unadorned nature. The park landscape features circuitous walk framed by tall avenues of trees with gentle green slopes dipping into the cool waters of ponds and lakes (www.ytlcommunity.com)

kids and veggie

my kids are always crave for food.., even when ummi cooked sempoi-sempoi meal..most of the times, they can eat anything served, but at times they could be very picky too. there are times where they loves veggie very much...

the rule is : i don't like to make eating as a tense moment, if they don`t feel to eat veggie, its okay..i won`t force them.., i`ll try the other day.well, encouragement is the key. besides that, i believe that the early food introduction does later contribute to the kids eating habit. my kids ate any kind of veggie puree when they are babies, to tell you the truth. they start be food-picky when they are preschoolers. anyway, i don`t mind when they are picky eaters once in a blue moon. whilst DH always have his own approach, in a way where he is more objective and wants a measureable output. the result is : our son could eat a plate of plain rice, of which DH quoted " tak kisah kalau abir tak suka lauk apa malam ni, kena makan juga" so, Abir will sit and scoop for a mouthful plain rice.

aufa is on the other hand, she tends to eat spicy food nowadays, she will always ask me in the kitchen " ummi, ada pedas tak?" and our mumtaz has already eating solid food last 3 weeks, i served her instant rice cereal at the moment. trying to get it slowly on poultry this time. having experience with 2 kids before, would like to hinder allergic reactions. so next month, i shall start pureeing her with sweet potatoes and carrots before getting her a bowl of chicken rice cereal

anyway, despite of good eating habit..both of Abir & Aufa are still petite and cute!

owh weekend!

What did you do on weekends?
...................

for us particularly, it means a spring cleaning day for sure. DH will always do the floor mopping and laundry.while me is the mastery aka king of the small kitchen. doing the cleaning and cooking surely. being maidless for about 6 months was not so bad after all, as we `d reckoned. except that, allocation for our kids time are a bit lacking. having experience with maid in the house for about 4 years (total served by 2 maids) really made us too accustomed with a tidy house and a dinner on time. so being maidless nowadays, i `ve alwas try my best to serve dinner latest by 8.30pm. thanks to DH whom being so helpful and all..except those on his resting mood.., we are still on our track quite excellent.and am so grateful that we are living in a 1303sqf home.everything is within our reach and inside our visual field to tackle. hey, my SIL will leave us tomorrow, which certainly makes our after working hours will be so more hectic at home. she been taking DH share on drying the clothes since she is here since may.so it means DH will be taking back some of the housechores onwards.

hmm..last saturday we went to buy another pair of hamster.this time it is a syrian hamsters.so chubby la the female.although we had experience of the canibal roborovski hamsters months ago.. i think we still don`t get off the hamsters liking.gerams! and on sunday, we went for kite flying at Kepong Park ..something that Abir longed for it everytime we passing by the park.

birthday at Fiske

DH hit 31 years old a week after me. Owh.. dah sama-sama tua kita! wishing you the best of iman and health. amiin.his birthday was on working day, so not planning to celebrate on time.eventually when he suggested having steak for dinner we can`t resist the offer, as the last time i had dinner at Fiske Steakhouse was about 6 months ago..., yummy.. savoury cheesecake, i tell you.

i got him a 'Hugo Boss Spectacle'..., of which he was already expecting ..as actually had checked his refractive error status at the hospital 3 days prior., later let him choose the design himself. bought it at a cost price from our direct supplier., the market price would normally at RM700 per pair. i told DH that the spectacle would only be ready end of the month, so he actually a bit surprise that very evening.

ya Allah, si Abir ni...

Mak Teh yg pandai posing, ehem..already booked!

alahai...with the new spectacle

tembam nye dah cik abang ni setelah 8 tahun, huhu

owh..cheesecake by ex-Shangri La Chef

makan..jangan tak makan..

Aufa and Mak Teh..posing lagi!

ni birthday gift ceremony ni...

june closing

my june`s closing was a BIG day for me...

I passed the viva, and qualified for MSc Health (Optom), the feeling was overwhelming.of which the next day i caught fever.tak tipu.., my supervisor said, that was post-stress viva fever.haha!

alhamdulillah, i just couldn`t take it any longer.the torture of being a researcher cum clinician was unbearable.half way down the route, i thought i just couldn`t finish it.few colleague had asked my 2 cents opinion, between these choices : coursework (M Optom) vs research (MSc Optom) well...i definitely oppose this MSc Health, it is far far better to go for M Optom instead.peace of mind. attend classes, do paperwork, clinical and mini project, ended with exam.completed in 2 years. my experience with research? it is all about scheduling, designing, sampling, screening, intervention, analysing, interpreting data, reporting, journaling, thesis writing, viva- ing....huh! tell me about the ammendments and corrections? thats worst part of it. consider myself lucky to be able to complete in 3 years.talking about persistence.i have few friends whom graduate after 5 years!

i really appreciate DH for being very supportive all this while, he never discourage me. he even willing to move to KL at once when i was in my final year. Thank you so much, dear. i must also thank mama for being there for me when i was in the downturns. she stood up for me, of which i couldn`t fail her hope, her words just made my spirit keeps on flaming..

abir...
he got no 6th-counting from the last person in the class. our feelings on it was mingles between :
1) ok kot?..since his average marks is 83% and he got 5A1B of which the B was due he skipped answering 2 pages. ..and he was in the 1st class in the standard. lets reward him anyway?
2) tak ok!...since his average marks is deteriorate from monthly test. 50% of his classmates got 6A.and, the exam paper seems just like when he was in kindergarten, which he scored 91% average marks.

we did some talking ..the pros and cons.., finally DH decided to be his tuition teacher onwards.his style, of course.according to the ex-best student approach...or so whatever he thinks suitable for his son.

aufa...
she`s becoming more energetic lately.once we reached home, she will quickly get Abir`s kindy workbook and starting to do the coloring, tracing and scribbling as if she is still at school. kejap-kejap tanya ummi ini apa itu apa. her favorite is reciting the memorised surah in the toilet! her best memorized surah "Tabbat yadaaaa..abilahabiu watab!" so sweet la..with the pronounciation yg still kelam kelibut.

mumtaz..

sometimes she still awaken at 2 am and make the night merrier with her cries. the other day when i had to do my viva preparation, i was just about to sleep at 12am, yet she wake up right after and demand to be held until 2am. owh..she was a 6 months old crawling baby now.., DH bought this Fisher Price rocker, perhaps she could easily sleep now
