My Walks of Life

the sky does not always blue..so does the life..

heated weekend

we got back to my hometown on saturday, aside the excitement of meeting beloved parent, we were rushing to the goats barn at backyard. the news of the 2 kids death last week did draw our concern so much.

was so pathetic ..we thought it was the other kid died, hoping not the cutest of all- named batik. but to no prevail..it was him. very sad thou. we rushed the 3rd sibling to the nearest vet when abang notice a gush of paleness in its mouth. the Vet shooked his head, saying it was already late. anyway, she injected anaemic jab and hemochus jab, later put him on sodium drip. as it was meant to be, the kid died on the treatment table. huhu..

"can you proceed with the post-mortem?" i suggested.

"sure, i`m quite sure this is caused by hemochus worm, the most dangaerous parasites for goats and cattles. one worm can suck 0.5ml per day. imagine if there were 100s of them?" she explained while her fingers reached for a forcep and scapel.

yes..her diagnosis was right. there were lots of worms inside the lining of its intestine. some were as big as the toothpick, i tell you. no wonder.

sunday was sizzling hot too, still I had to help abang to wrap-up all the other 5 kids into the car for hemocchus `s immunization. i felt my brain was heated up, felt like my thermostat was not functioning. later, at the evening both of us took panadol actifast. my head was excruciating aching. the plan to go back to abang`s hometown was called-off then, we set off to KL after maghrib. my headache was still bad all the way, had to stop few times for vomit episodes. i was caution to take more panadol, as i`m 3 days late :)
the head still aching this morning. had to cancel a plan and inform my supervisor. just got up from bed..feel quite better.

what can i say? was indeed a heated weekend for us.

these are the 4 best-friends ever : all of the kids deceased left behind the one with black head.

Salam tengah malam,
Thanks for the concern for the goats.. I personally think that besides the worms, they missed the familiar fingers that used to caressed them. Not only the large palms but small ones as well..(ha..ha..)I too cannot imagine looking at the worms(wek..wek..) and naming the scientific tools as well. I suggest that, your expenses such as petrol(since now you are staying in kl) or other necessities related to our business, do jot down.. so that we can include that as your investment. We might bring it to our next meeting. Anyway, thank you both and my dearest sis - Yong Nor for all for the sacrifices you have made made not only for the goats but to OUR families as well. Only ALLAH pays...
